Weight

Polyhedral iron weight with bronze shell. This type of weight was common during the 10th and 11th centuries, but at Norrtil it was found in the cultural layer of a house which could be dated to the 12th century. Another possibility is that the weight may be associated with an older building which had stood on the same site. Settlement find, Norrtil, Sankt Olof Parish, Uppland. Loan from Sigtuna Museum.
