Figurine

Silver arm from a figurine or a pendant. The arm was found close to a site of ritual activities. Slightly bowed with a drop shaped and open (outstretched?) hand, detailed with representation of five fingers. A hole in its upper edge, by what is thought to be a shoulder, shows that it was articulated with another body part. The arm has a parallel in an object from Birka. In all probability it belonged to an object of the same kind as a splendid face pendant, with arms, from grave Bj 649 at Birka. Settlement find, Norrtil, Sankt Olof Parish, Uppland. Loan from Sigtuna Museum.
