Worn back vertebrae with advanced slipped disk. In addition to causing severe pain, this condition must have affected the individual’s mobility. The vertebrae show alterations due to disease in the form of Schmorl nodes and lipping in addition to a compression injury in the last thoracic vertebra. Grave find, Slite, Othem Parish, Gotland.
