Reticella vessel

Rim sherds from reticella glass beaker. Reticulated (reticella) vessels were probably used for different drinking ceremonies which finished with the glass being smashed on the floor. Reticulated or reticella refers to a type of beaker decorated with different colours using glass threads which were melted onto the beaker. Grave find, Helgö, building group 2, Ekerö Parish, Uppland.
