Scale

Iron pundari scales with bronze mounts. Scales of this kind were used to weigh different goods and materials, everything from textiles to food and raw materials. The items would be hung on the hook and by moving the pointer along the graded bar until a balance was reached, the weight could be read off. Bog find, Mästermyr, Silte Parish, Gotland.
