Button-on-bow brooch

Gilded bronze button-on-bow brooch. Decorated with red garnet and cloissoné enamel. The small buttons on the fibula have white glass inlay. Freya’s glittering gold and shimmering red piece of jewellery 'Brísingamen' might have been a button-topped fibula of this type. Grave find, Ihre, Hellvi Parish, Gotland.
