Stone
Small, square sliver of ground polished marble, with light red and brown hues. The stone sliver may be a 'sepulchral stone' which was set in a portable altar used by missionaries. The stone was a stray find in Svarta jorden, Birka and may, if the interpretation is correct, be sure sign of Christian missionary activity in this location during the Viking Age.
