Reticella beaker
Sherd from body of reticella beaker of red glass with yellow decoration. Reticulated (reticella) vessels were probably used for different drinking ceremonies where the glass would be smashed on the floor. Reticulated or reticella refers to a type of beaker decorated with different colours using glass threads which were melted onto the beaker. Grave find, Helgö, building group 2, Ekerö Parish, Uppland.
