Brooches
Two gilded, horse-shaped silver brooches. The style and technique reveal that they were manufactured as mounts during the 7th century but that later, during the Viking Age, pins were added and they were remade into brooches. Eyes of inlaid garnet. Grave find, Birka, Bj 854, Adelsö Parish, Uppland.
