Urn
Coarse, undecorated earthenware sepulchral urn. The urn tapers towards the bottom, and curves inwards slightly at the rim. Along with its contents of cremated remains it is one many similar deposits in the grave mound. The sepulchral urn was forgotten after it was found and was not presented in the documentation of the excavation which was subsequently carried out. It was not discovered again until 96 years later, in 2013, in a remote part of the repository of the Swedish History Museum. The urn was not investigated or emptied of its contents. Grave find, Skopintull, Adelsö Parish, Uppland.
