Pseudo-Samanid silver coin minted about 934/5 for the Volga Bulgarian amir Mika'il ibn Ja'far (circa. 934–955). The Bulgarians in the Middle Volga played an important role as intermediaries between the Vikings and Islamic merchants. They began to mint coins on the Islamic model in the beginning of the 10th century. Part of a hoard find from Kullsta, Estuna Parish, Uppland.
