Reticella beaker
Rim sherd from red glass reticella beaker with applied yellow-black, striped decoration. Reticulated (reticella) vessels were probably used for different drinking ceremonies where the glass would be smashed on the floor. Reticulated or reticella refers to a type of beaker decorated with different colours using glass threads which were melted onto the beaker. Grave find, Helgö, building group 2, Ekerö Parish, Uppland.
