Brooch

Rectangular, gilded silver brooch. The brooch is reworked and was originally a Carolingian strap mounting. The motif is a looping, dog-like animal, surrounded by floral decoration. Grave find, Birka, Bj 550, Adelsö Parish, Uppland.
