Bird of prey claws

Claws from birds of prey. The three at the top are from a northern goshawk, the lower and larger of them is from a sea eagle. These birds show that in their lifetimes the buried people spent time hunting with trained birds of prey. Hunting may also have been an element in the burial rituals. Grave find, Skopintull, Adelsö Parish, Uppland.
