Weight

Bronzed bipolar iron weight with weight marking dots. The number of dots, which could vary between one and six, is thought to have marked the order within a set of weights. The system was not generally standardised so that all weights with three dots would weigh the same. Svarta Jorden, Birka, Adelsö Parish, Uppland.
