Set of beads

A double rowed set of glass, rock crystal and carnelian beads. Some of the glass beads are polychrome and some monochrome and a number are segmented gold and silver foil beads. It is probable that only a few of the beads are Scandinavian; most were imported from the eastern Mediterranean region. Grave find, Birka, Bj 978, Adelsö Parish, Uppland.
