Tweezers

Iron tweezers with bronze handle and carrying ring. The handle is shaped like a head carrying a rounded hat. The face has circular eyes, a mouth and a pointed chin. On the forehead, under the hat and round the head, runs a fringe which may be the figure’s hair or a fur border for the hat. Grave find, Birka, Bj .946, Adelsö Parish, Uppland.
