Pendant

Half-moon shaped silver 'Lunala" pendant. Along the edges runs a thin silver braid. The field inside and the hanging loop, are decorated with filigree. In the middle of the upper edge and at each end of the "crescent moon" are five large, filigree decorated, raised dots. The pendant is of West Slavic or possibly Russian origin. Grave find, Birka, Bj 660, Adelsö Parish, Uppland.
