Iron axe decorated with flanges and extended neck with flat end. This type is called a 'hammer axe' and is of eastern European origin. It is rare in Sweden and Scandinavia, but has been found in the Baltic region, modern day Russia and Hungary. Grave find, Birka, Bj 644, Adelsö Parish, Uppland.
