40 silver coins from the Västergårde hoard, which contained a total of 1,371 coins. Most are Islamic, with a clear element of Volga Bulgaria and other dihram imitations. Islamic coins had great buying power on the slave market. The coins are part of a hoard find from Västergårde, Sundre Parish, Gotland.
