Coin (halvpenning)

Nordic silver coin minted around 980, probably in Hedeby, by the Danish King Harald Bluetooth 958-986). This type of coin is the first one with a cross motif to appear in the Nordic region. Harald Bluetooth probably chose the motif to mark the establishment of Christianity in Denmark. Findspot unknown.
