Anonymous silver coin minted in around 800, probably in Frisia or the region of Bremen-Hamburg. On the obverse side we see the stylised letters 'CARO/LUS' and on the reverse side the stylised letters 'DORSTAD'. The coin belongs to a transition group, between the Carolingian original issues and the Nordic imitation issues. Findspot unknown.
