Iron axe with long, narrow blade and long shaft with wings. It is intact and not intentionally deformed, but was found together with a deformed sword and a spear, buried in a pit as part of grave mound and chamber grave Bj 750 at Birka. The axe is of Slavic origin and a pair of similar axes have previously been found in sites in northern Poland and Germany. It is the only one of its type found in Birka so far.
