Sheaf of twigs
Sheaf of birch twigs, carefully wrapped. The sheaf is an implement used in a ritual during burials. This ritual was called hlauttein in Old Norse and was directed towards fate and seeing into the future. Grave find, Årby, Rasbokil Parish, Uppland.
