Hanging-bowl

Thin bronze plate hanging bowl. In the reinforced rim edge there are three carrying rings, embellished with bird-shaped mounts. These mounts are coated in white metal on which there is a feather-like pattern. The design and decoration are Irish influenced and the bowl originates from the British Isles. Grave find, Birka, Bj 854, Adelsö Parish, Uppland.
