Glass beaker

Green glass beaker. The lower part is decorated with small, grape-like balls, which is why this type are called 'grape beakers". The tapered neck part is smooth, with a rounded rim. The beaker is Frankish and sherds of a similar one have been found in investigations of the residence of the Holy Roman Emperor Charles the Great in Paderborn. Grave find, Birka, Bj 539, Adelsö Parish, Uppland.
