Spear head

Iron spearhead, with relatively narrow ridged blade with jutting edge on the under side. The ferrule, with its silver and copper thread damascening, has wings which are also damascened. The pattern consists of repeated ribbon loops and fringes. Between the jutting edges and the wings run narrow bands in a figure of eight shaped figure. Grave find, Tuna, Alsike Parish, Uppland.
