Sword

Double-edged iron sword. The handle, with pommel and upper and lower hilts has applied gilded brass panels in high relief. The gilding contrasts with the three-leaf clover-shaped, silver niello plate on the pommel and the silver braids which divide up the larger fields. The decomposed grip which is made of organic material has ring-shaped laciniated metal mounts on the upper and lower hilt. Grave find, Linga, Överjärna Parish, Södermanland.
