Ring-headed pin

Silver ring-headed pin. The end-pieces of the ring are trumpet-shaped and have flanges engraved with niello inlay. Half of the pin, which is bent 90°, has a snake-like appearance with broad but tapering shape and triangular cross-section. Its upper side (back) is embellished with two engraved snake heads and triangular stamp decoration, all reinforced with niello inlay. Part of hoard find, Sigsarve, Hejde Parish, Gotland.
