Coin (penning)

Swedish silver coin minted in Sigtuna in the 1020s for king Anund Jakob (approximately 1022–1050) based on the English model. On the obverse side of the coin we see the inscription 'ANVND REX SI' ('Anund king of Sigtuna'). After Anund Jakob, minting of coins in Sweden ceased for more than a hundred years. Findspot unknown.
