Spindle whorle
Round lead spindle whorl. Around the central hole (for the spindle rod) there is a flange. The whorl was probably used for spinning thin threads. It was found in the demolition layer in a pit-house dating from the 10th century. Settlement find, Norrtil, Sankt Olof Parish, Uppland. Loan from Sigtuna Museum.
